Purity

Create in me a pure heart O God, so that I may come to know You more. That I may trust and love You more for who You really are. This heart yearns for this. It is bursting to walk closer with You, and to give. Give, give, give. To give to the many around me. It excites my heart, and it really gives me the sense of freedom. 

"Create in me a clean heart, O God,
And renew a steadfast spirit within me." Psalms 51:10

I am in a season of learning how to love, and how to trust. Or maybe i've always been learning this, just that it feels especially intense right now.

Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Come near to God and he will come near to you. Wash your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded. Grieve, mourn and wail. Change your laughter to mourning and your joy to gloom. Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will lift you up. James 4: 7-10

Now that you have purified yourselves by obeying the truth so that you have sincere love for your brothers, love one another deeply, from the heart. 1 Peter 1:22
